The OMS (Open Math Consultation Hour) complements Mariapia Mazzone's tutoring offering with an additional session. There is no fixed agenda; students can take advantage of the service at any time as needed. The content can cover any material from the courses or prior knowledge from high school. The goal is to assist students in acquiring necessary mathematical knowledge, regardless of their field of study or specific lecture.

Career Path

Prof. Dr. Dennis Müller studied Applied Computer Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen from 2002 to 2008. He subsequently earned his doctorate as part of an industry-funded promotion by the automotive parts supplier APTIV in the field of multi-sensor data fusion. After a successful promotion, he took on various roles with increasing responsibility at APTIV and ultimately led the "AI Core" group, whose main task was to make artificial intelligence available and usable for APTIV's customers as well as other internal teams.
He also received part-time teaching assignments, for example at the University of Wuppertal ("Video-Based Driver Assistance Systems") and the Ruhr-West University of Applied Sciences ("Preparatory Course Mathematics"). In 2023, he received a call to the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf in the Department of Media for the professorship in artificial intelligence.
